City of Ontario, California Police and Fire Departments Deploy Tiburon Mobility Solution(TM) for the iPad(R) to Increase Situational Awareness in the Field

In late August, the City of Ontario Police and Fire leadership concluded several months of beta testing and installed their iPad's® with Tiburon's Mobility Solution software. Tiburon's state-of-the-art iPad mobility application allows the Ontario Police and Fire Chiefs to monitor in real time the active calls and unit activity from virtually anywhere. In addition, this first phase of deployment provided administrative staff with the same information available to mobile units with Tiburon MobileCOM installed on in-vehicle computers. In the future, the City plans to deploy iPads to their Inspectors and Detectives in the field for self-initiating non-emergency stops, effectively reducing their radio traffic, and allowing the 9-1-1 Communications Center to improve tracking of these officers in the field.
Tiburon's Mobility Solution for Tablet Computers includes iPad®, Android and Windows 8 tablets, so agencies can select the type of low cost mobile devices that best suit their IT infrastructure and future mobility plans. These applications provide more options for agencies wanting to increase situational awareness in the field and give first responders the ability to interact in real-time with their Tiburon Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. The software allows the users to make direct NCIC and other queries using FIPS-compliant encryption to access state, local, and federal databases. The devices can be seamlessly integrated with Tiburon's Law and Fire RMS systems as well and offer integrated mapping, priors, alerts and many other functions critical to maintaining situational awareness and safety.
The City of Ontario is located just east of Los Angeles, California and has been a Tiburon client since 1996.
