Q&A With InterCall

1. Explain the deal with Blue Jeans Network that you are announcing.
InterCall is announcing the integration of Blue Jeans Network video with our Reservationless-Plus audio conferencing platform.  The combination helps organizations improve their meeting options, experience and performance.  For example, with this integration, hosts can send a single invitation to all attendees, audio or video, and have everyone join in the same call, simplifying the whole process.

2. Explain your global reach and how it benefits customers.
InterCall audio conferencing lets people host conference calls anywhere in the world on any type of device.  Through our presence in more than 140 countries, InterCall has helped organizations navigate the regulatory, security and technological infrastructure challenges in and between countries.  We have localized customer service centers and sales offices, and support over 20 languages. This global support and infrastructure means it is easy for participants to access a conference call from any country and have it be cost effective.

3. Is this deal about the quality of your audio, or your global reach, customer base and experience?
The extension of InterCall's partnership with Blue Jeans Network addresses all of the above points.  InterCall brings excellence in voice quality to the marketplace through our global conferencing platform.  With 22 years' experience in audio conferencing, we provide more than 400,000 access ports, giving us unsurpassed global reach for any-sized organization's conferencing needs.

4. Why did you choose Blue Jeans Network over all other videoconferencing providers?
InterCall and Blue Jeans Network have deepened our relationship beyond the initial reselling partnership announced in April 2012.  Today's announcement adds a technology/development alliance that further benefits users.  InterCall became the dominant player in audio by creating the first truly global audio conferencing platform for people and organizations to join on their own terms.  Blue Jeans Network is doing the same with video, so we are like-minded in our approaches.

5. The potential of video conferencing has always been substantial, but is this deal a signal that you believe it will enjoy widespread adoption in the workplace?
We began our partnership in 2012 as an extension of video conferencing capabilities we already supported.  Blue Jeans Network's agnostic device approach is what attracted us to its offering,  and customers responded positively to that approach.   Frost & Sullivan notes that new trends and ease of use will double the market for video conferencing to $6.3 billion annually by 2016. When Blue Jeans Network introduced its cloud solution to video conferencing requiring only a web browser, corporate boardrooms sat up and took notice, as did the venture capital community, as evidenced by the $50 million in funding the company received recently.

6. What are the business advantages/positives of videoconferencing?   
People are interested in using video to improve collaboration, and they want a simpler way to connect.  Integrating InterCall's Reservationless-Plus and the Blue Jeans services give hosts a simple way to start meetings on the fly, while participants can easily click-to-join from anywhere on any device, and experience the high quality audio and video conferencing they have come to expect. Regardless of what they have available to them for the conference, they can easily join and participate in ad hoc collaborative sessions or more formalized training sessions.
